80th International Motor Show. Lancia and Chrysler, a Royal Wedding.

Lancia will be fielding a winning team at the Geneva International Motor Show with Delta, Ypsilon and Musa. A line-up that consolidates the prestige of a brand which is the symbol of Italian flair and worldwide excellence.
And plays the trump: Lancia will be seen parading for the first time alongside some selected Chrysler models. This is the official ratification of an alliance which will be announced to the world at the Geneva Motor Show. The two makes, which have left a permanent signature in automotive history on both sides of the Atlantic, promise to generate a winning industrial model from their noble pedigree by creating a total which is greater than the sum of the two brand values. .
While visitors and operators will be attending this edition of the Motor Show hoping to catch a glimpses of upturn after the slump that has brought the world's economy to its knees, the Turin-Detroit axis responds with a royal wedding of promising fortune. The puzzle metaphor chosen to symbolise the wedding is very meaningful: two perfectly combining pieces represent two worlds that merge to form a new whole. Lancia and Chrysler take their place on the automotive world scene each bringing a dowry of common values: elegance and technical innovation, rooted in a glorious past and gazing well into the future. .
The stand is decorated with the graphic rendition of the puzzle symbol and the most contemporary fashion trends for showcasing the new Ypsilon “ELLE” , a special series created by Lancia and “ELLE”, which from cool fashion and accessories magazine has become a genuine fashion and lifestyle brand for a female target. A new two-colour - black/matte white - body will be presented for the occasion. .
This will be followed by a Lancia Musa show car, inspired by the world of top class jewellery and the timeless atmosphere evoked in the recent commercial by beauty and elegance icon, Audrey Hepburn. Musa fits a new 1.3 Multijet II - 95 HP engine with “Start&Stop” system for cutting consumptions and emissions: “the environment is a luxury that we want to afford” says Lancia, underlining the brand's determination in researching and developing eco-sustainable solutions.
The spotlight will also be on the Lancia Delta sporting a unique, exclusive “Hard Black” (see the picture) outfit with a 1.8 Di Turbojet - 200 HP heart or a two-colour platinum attire with a 1.6 Multijet 120 HP engine. The interior details are creating a buzz, like the new back seats of the Delta Platino and the design and colour accents previewed on the Delta Hard Black dashboard and console.
Good omens as winter winds to an end on the city banks of the Swiss lake. .
In 2010, Lancia and Chrysler will be the propelling twosome that everyone else need to measure up to.
