The Versace Group has put its seal on the new Lancia Ypsilon VERSUS, due to make its debut as show-car at the next Paris International Motor Show. Once again, Lancia has confirmed its attention and interest in the world of fashion, becoming an icon of Made in Italy during the fashion week when, in Milan and Paris, the official cars of the shows will be Lancia vehicles. ‘Ypsilon VERSUS’ is the offshoot of cooperation between Lancia and Versus, a brand of the Versace Group that has always been a byword for a young, dynamic and vitality-packed lifestyle. Talent, creativity and innovation: these are the joint values of Lancia and VERSUS, the image and soul of a vehicle such as the Lancia Ypsilon. A special series produced in a limited edition (500 vehicles) on sale only from March 2009 and with a distinguishing characteristic, i.e. the use of bronze as dominating colour: from the Bronzino Bronze body colour that bears a screen-printed ‘Versus’ logo on the roof, to the 16" alloy wheels, from the grille to the handles, from the door mouldings and rear bumpers to the handle of the tailgate which also sports the Versus logo. The interior reflects the same strong personality: the upholstery and the central zone in brown leather, with heat-embossed ‘Versus’ logo that recalls the accessories of the fashion Brand, the pearl-effect leather of the head restraint adorned with an embossed VERSUS logo, on the dashboard and on the door panels, the detailing of the instrument panel, sill plate and gearbox which have the same bronze chrome finish as the exterior features.
