The Trofeo Lancia conquers the Capital
The Rally di Roma Capitale raised the stakes. As the third and fourth rounds of the Trofeo Lancia — and a key stage in both the FIA ERC and CIAR Sparco — this iconic event transformed Rome and the heart of Lazio into a breathtaking motorsport stage, blending history, speed, and passion. With 18 crews lining up — including 12 Under 35 drivers — the Ypsilon Rally4 HF once again proved its worth as a launchpad for rising talent and a serious contender for seasoned drivers alike.

Gianandrea Pisani and Nicola Biagi wrote their own Roman legend, claiming back-to-back wins across both race days and firmly establishing themselves as the championship frontrunners. Their performance wasn’t just dominant in the Trofeo Lancia — they also stood out in the ERC4 overall standings and topped the Master category, making a powerful case for a seat in the official Lancia team for the 2026 European Rally Championship.

But victory was hard-fought. Friday and Saturday saw a fierce showdown with Gabriel Di Pietro, Andrea Mazzocchi, and Giorgio Cogni, with tenths of a second separating the top contenders. On Sunday, after resetting all previous times, the battle picked up right where it left off: Pisani pulled ahead once more, while positions behind him shifted continuously between Cogni, Mazzocchi, De Antoni, and Di Pietro — all crossing the finish within just six seconds of one another. Polands’s Dariusz Polonski completed a category double in Master, while Gabriel Di Pietro took the win in Junior, bouncing back after Saturday’s unlucky puncture.

Beyond the competition, the Lancia Corse HF Village in Fiuggi came alive with excitement. Families and fans experienced a fully immersive weekend: test drives of the new Ypsilon (both hybrid and full-electric), up-close views of Lancia legends like the Delta Integrale and 037, and a look into the brand’s high-performance future with the 280 HP electric Ypsilon HF and the race-ready, accessible Ypsilon HF Racing.

Now, after a weekend packed with drama and triumph, the Trofeo Lancia heads into a short summer break. But the battle is far from over: next up is Rally del Lazio (September 13–14), leading to the season finale in Sanremo. With standings still wide open, every kilometer will count.
The HF story continues. See you on the next stage.
