A New Era Begins at Sanremo

The Rallye Sanremo proved to be the perfect stage for Lancia to close a memorable season and open a new chapter in its legendary motorsport story. In front of thousands of fans, the brand officially announced its long-awaited return to the FIA World Rally Championship. The journey will begin in January 2026 at the iconic Rallye Monte Carlo, where Lancia will once again line up to compete on the world’s most demanding stages – the same roads where its legend was born.

And it was right here, in Sanremo, that the most emotional announcement of all was made. Through an evocative video featuring Luca Napolitano, Miki Biasion, and Eugenio Franzetti, Lancia confirmed its return to the FIA World Rally Championship in 2026. The brand will line up at the Rallye Monte Carlo next January with the new Ypsilon Rally2 HF Integrale, marking the beginning of a new adventure on the world stage.
A return to the place where legends were born, and where Lancia’s next great chapter is ready to begin.

Fast, Reliable, and Thrilling
On the twisting Ligurian stages, the Ypsilon Rally4 HF once more proved its worth — fast, reliable, and thrilling to watch. Davide Pesavento and Alessandro Michelet claimed a commanding victory, with six stage wins and the coveted Miki Stage trophy, while newly-crowned champions Gianandrea Pisani and Nicola Biagi confirmed their dominance with a second-place finish and the Master class title. The top three were completed by Edoardo De Antoni and Martina Musiari, rounding out a podium that perfectly reflected the depth of talent nurtured by the Lancia Trophy.

The Roar of the Ypsilon Rally4 HF
Every stage, every service park, every Lancia Village was filled with the unmistakable sound and soul of the brand — from the roar of the Ypsilon Rally4 HF to the timeless silhouettes of the Delta Integrale and Rally 037. The 2025 season wasn’t just a competition; it was a living celebration of Lancia’s past, present, and future, proving that its rally DNA is stronger than ever.

Lancia’s Next Generation
The Sanremo finale also celebrated the achievements of the next generation: Gabriel Di Pietro, winner of the Junior classification, and Asia Vidori, who claimed her first podium in the Ladies category, embodied the inclusiveness and energy that define the new era of Lancia rallying. Throughout the season’s six events, the Trophy attracted record participation and an enthusiastic fan base, reaffirming Lancia’s ability to unite professionals, enthusiasts, and young hopefuls under one shared passion.
