Lancia triumphs at the Targa Florio

Legacy on the roads of the Madonie

On May 9–10, the legendary Targa Florio celebrated not just the 109th edition of the world’s oldest race, but also the long-awaited return of a true motorsport icon: Lancia. Among the twists of the Madonie mountains and the roaring enthusiasm of Sicilian fans, the debut of the Lancia Trophy marked a historic moment for the brand. The all-new Ypsilon Rally4 HF was the undisputed star, officially kicking off its one-make championship season within the Italian Rally Championship (CIAR Sparco).

With 19 Lancia crews on the entry list and 13 Under-35 drivers fighting for a seat in Lancia’s 2026 ERC team, the new Ypsilon Rally4 HF dominated from start to finish: claiming overall victory, sweeping the podium, and taking 10 of the top 14 spots in the Two-Wheel Drive category. Pisani-Biagi took the historic first win of the new era, followed by Pesavento-Michelet and Di Pietro-Dresti after a thrilling fight. A result that confirms both the technical maturity of the car and the ambition behind the project, which has already sold over 90 units since launch.

Cornering precision, high-speed stability, aggressive braking, and confident handling: the Ypsilon Rally4 HF impressed with its dynamic balance and pure driving pleasure. Built on a lightweight yet ultra-rigid chassis with three-way adjustable Öhlins suspension and a 212 HP turbo engine, it’s the result of world-class engineering—guided by none other than rally legend Miki Biasion, who continues to inspire a new generation of drivers.

Lancia’s presence went far beyond the special stages. From an exclusive launch night hosted by Stellantis&You Palermo to the immersive Lancia Corse HF Village at the University of Palermo, fans were treated to a full rally experience—with test drives, hospitality, and the adrenaline-pumping Ypsilon HF on display. Thousands of visitors joined the celebration, lighting up social media with their energy. The verdict was clear: Lancia is back—and it’s here to lead.

After a triumphant debut in Sicily, the Lancia Trophy is just getting started. Next stops: Rally Due Valli (May 30–31), Rally Roma Capitale (July 4–6), Rally del Lazio (September 13–14), and the grand finale at Rallye Sanremo (October 17–18). The future of rally is wearing the HF badge.

See you there!
